Looks cleaner than most.

I had a 98, it went 210k miles and the only thing other than LOF, brakes and tires was a set of tie-rods at 185k. Probably would still be in the family if my sister hadn’t been hit in it.

It’s certainly priced realistically.

Also, you can swap the Mazda 1.8 engine into that. Probably even bolts right onto that 5-speed.

My first car was a 91 Mercury Tracer LTS, basically a 4-door Escort GT. If they didn’t rust away to nothing so quickly around here, I would find another one. Awesome little cars.

Cheap to fix and reliable. Watch for failing tumblers in the ignition switch. Luckily you can disassemble the whole steering column and bypass the lock with a swiss army knife CyberTool and optional 12mm (or is it 10mm?) socket.
